Cream pinstripe suiting
Cream pinstripe suiting, the chic of a light-coloured suit
FCFA 6,000 per metre
Width: 150 cm
This suiting cloth combines polyester and viscose, a blend widely known as 'tergal' in French-speaking Africa. The fine stripes are woven into the cloth and are a classic motif of the tailoring tradition.
A light pinstripe suit suggests big occasions and sunny days. In Douala it is very popular for weddings, daytime ceremonies and celebrations, where it stands out from dark suits.
Polyester and viscose. A medium-weight, smooth fabric that resists creasing and keeps the line of jackets and trousers.
Supple and soft, it holds its shape well; more comfortable indoors or in the evening than in the midday sun.

Frequently asked questions
Does a cream suit get dirty quickly?
Light shades show stains more. Treat them quickly with cold water and have the jacket dry cleaned rather than machine washed.
Which style suits this fabric?
The Bonanjo double-breasted suit shows it off best; for women, the Mbanga sheath dress gives a very smart office look.
Can I combine it with another fabric?
Yes, part by part when the style allows it: on the Bonanjo suit, for example, the chest flap can be in a plain gabardine.
