FCFA 3,800 per metre

Wax print is a cotton printed on both sides using a resin-resist technique, an industrial process developed in the Netherlands in the 19th century and inspired by Javanese batik. Across West and Central Africa, where it was adopted on a large scale, earth tones with black are among the most classic colourways.
Ochre recalls laterite and the colours of the soil, and goes with everything. In Douala, an ochre and black wax works as well in town as for a weekend by the water, in a modern, relaxed cut.
100% cotton plain weave, medium weight, 120 cm wide. A sturdy cloth, suited to pieces you wear often.
Breathable and comfortable, it stays cool against the skin in a sleeveless playsuit.

Frequently asked questions
Will the black in the print turn dull?
Washed at 30°C, inside out, and dried in the shade, the black stays deep. Avoid detergents with bleaching agents.
Does wax shrink?
There can be slight shrinkage on the first wash. No hot water and no tumble dryer, and your fit will stay true.
Can I combine it with another fabric?
Yes, part by part when the style allows it. On the Ndokoti playsuit, the belt or pockets can be in another fabric, such as embroidered denim.
