About this design
The Ebolowa set pairs an open kimono jacket, edged with a contrast front band, with wide, fluid trousers. Hand-dyed orange and indigo tie-dye gives every piece a one-of-a-kind pattern. The front band can take a second fabric, such as indigo ndop, to frame your silhouette. Wear it over a plain vest top or bodysuit for an effortless look.
Wide trousers only work when the waist and length are right: too long and they drag, too short and they break the line. The kimono jacket also has to sit properly on the shoulders. With made to measure, your Douala tailor fits each piece to your body, and KOUTIVA checks the quality before delivery. The result is a fluid, comfortable outfit.
Styling tips
- Wear the jacket open over a plain top in one of the fabric's colours.
- Tie a thin belt over the jacket to define the waist.
- With heeled sandals, the wide trousers lengthen your silhouette.
- Split the set: the kimono jacket also works over jeans.
Choosing your fabric
Orange and indigo tie-dye and orange floral wax are perfect for sunny outings; purple adire, or an indigo ndop front band, looks dressier for a birthday or an evening out.

Frequently asked questions
Is every tie-dye set identical?
No: tie-dye is dyed by hand, so the pattern varies slightly from one length of fabric to another. That is what makes each set unique.
Do I need to come in to be measured?
No. You can enter your measurements online using the illustrated guide or, if you are in Douala, have them taken by a KOUTIVA agent.
Does the price include the fabric?
Yes. The price shown covers the tailoring and the fabric you choose. There is no online payment yet: our team calls you to confirm your order.
When will I receive my outfit?
We don't quote a fixed timeframe upfront: the KOUTIVA team tells you the expected timing when they call to confirm your order.
