About this design
Toghu is the embroidered ceremonial attire of Cameroon's North-West and Grassfields, known for its colourful motifs on a dark ground. Our Toghu set draws respectful inspiration from it: a long tunic with an embroidered bib and straight trousers. The bib, sleeves and trousers can be cut from different fabrics, such as ndop trousers under a toghu tunic.
Embroidered velvet is a noble fabric that needs careful cutting to hang well. Made to your measurements by a Douala tailor, the set frees the shoulders, lets the tunic fall to the right length and centres the bib properly.
