COTON
Burgundy cotton
Burgundy cotton, a deep colour that is easy to wear
FCFA 3,000 per metre
Width: 145 cm
This plain cotton is woven in a plain weave, the simplest of all, where each weft thread passes alternately over and under the warp threads. The result is an even, strong and breathable fabric that takes dye well.
Burgundy is a rich shade, quieter than red, that works for everyday wear and dressier occasions alike. In Douala it offers an elegant alternative to white and blue for shirts and office dresses.
100% cotton, 150 cm wide. A medium-weight fabric, smooth and pleasant to wear.
Breathable and soft, it stays comfortable all day in humid heat.

Frequently asked questions
Will burgundy bleed?
Dark shades can run slightly the first few times. Wash at 30°C, inside out, with dark colours.
Does the cotton shrink?
Slight shrinkage is possible on the first wash. Avoid hot water and the tumble dryer to keep your fit.
Can I combine it with another fabric?
Yes, part by part when the style allows it: for example a burgundy New Bell shirt with collar, placket and cuffs in bogolan or kente.
