About this design
The New Bell is a plain band-collar shirt lifted by patterned trims on the collar, button placket, chest pocket and cuffs. On white poplin, blue geometric wax feels fresh; on burgundy cotton, black bogolan, the mud-dyed cloth from Mali, adds graphic depth. Gold and green kente, which comes from Ghana, turns it into a festive shirt.
Trims only work when they land exactly where they should: a cuff that swallows the hand or a placket that ripples, and the detail is lost. Made to your measurements, the sleeve length, neck size and chest width are adjusted so every trim sits in place. Your Douala tailor sews it and KOUTIVA checks the finish.

Can each trim be in a different fabric?
Yes: collar, placket, pocket, cuffs, body and sleeves are separate parts. You could, for example, put black bogolan on the collar and pocket and keep plain cuffs.
