About this design
The Foumban set is named after the great crafts city of Cameroon's West region, and it shares its love of detail. A light tunic and trousers are worn under a long sleeveless vest decorated with embroidered rosettes. The vest, details and sleeves can each take a different fabric: the contrast between the light tunic and the vest is what gives the outfit its strength.
Layering three pieces takes precision: the vest must hang straight over the tunic without pulling at the shoulders, and each length must work with the others. Made to your measurements by a Douala tailor, the set keeps its proportions as you walk or greet guests. The KOUTIVA team checks the embroidery and finish before handing it over.
