About this design
The Youpwe is a short-sleeved shirt designed for Douala's heat. Two large patch pockets sit on the front, their flaps outlined with contrast piping that also runs along the shoulders. That graphic detail is enough to make the shirt stand out, even in a plain fabric. Wear it untucked over cotton trousers or tucked into chinos for a look that is relaxed yet polished.
A short-sleeved shirt should hang straight, neither clinging nor billowing, and the shoulder line must be right for the piping to frame your build. Made to measure lets the tailor adjust the width, length and sleeve opening to your body. KOUTIVA then checks the seams and the evenness of the piping before delivery.
Styling tips
- Choose chocolate piping on white poplin for a crisp contrast.
- Beige linen with sky blue piping gives a soft holiday feel.
- Wear it untucked over cotton trousers, or tucked in with a belt for work.
- Don't overload the pockets so they stay flat.
Choosing your fabric
Beige linen and white poplin are perfect for the dry season and holidays; sky blue chambray suits the office, and chocolate gabardine makes striking piping or a more structured body.
